San Antonio, TX – March 25, 2024 – After a distinguished career marked by innovation, leadership, and a passion for community development, Charles Turner, the Chief Executive Officer of Terramark Urban Homes, has announced his retirement. Charlie, as he is affectionately known, founded Terramark following a successful tenure as a developer with Gerald Hines in Houston, TX.

Throughout his tenure at Terramark, Charlie has been instrumental in shaping the company into a leading force in urban development, leaving an indelible mark on the communities it serves. Under his guidance, Terramark has spearheaded numerous transformative projects, contributing to the revitalization and growth of neighborhoods across Texas.

Despite his retirement from Terramark Urban Homes, Charlie remains committed to his mission of providing affordable housing solutions to underserved communities. He will continue to serve as the President of Terrafirma Homes, a not-for-profit organization based in the east side of San Antonio, dedicated to building affordable housing.

Reflecting on his career, Charlie remarked, “It has been an incredible journey building Terramark Urban Homes into what it is today. I am immensely proud of the work we have accomplished and the impact we have had on the communities we serve. As I transition into this new chapter, I am excited to continue my dedication to affordable housing through Terrafirma Homes.”

Stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Terramark Urban Homes is John Cooley, who has been an integral part of the company’s success since joining in 2015. With a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership as the Chief Operating Officer, John is well-positioned to lead Terramark into its next phase of growth and innovation.
